This is very common over USENET since it's so disorganized (which I like), but much less common when you have tighter coupling in your networks. Unfortunetly, you sometimes get the responses, but due to various traffic & net problems, you never get the base note. That's annoying, but it's more a problem with USENET than with notesfiles. (of course, the notes program could generate a note of meaningles prose -- just as useless but nicer to look at :-) )
