The first time, the people picking me up in Pittsburgh had to wait 4 hours at the airport - I called and warned them I was running 4 hours late, but when they called the airline, TWA insisted everything was normal. The second time, I missed the first half of the super bowl because of the delay. I have heard many other horror stories about TWA as well. However, I must concur that the most recent of these events happened in January 1982. I have flown TWA a half dozen times since (it seems they are about the only airline that has any selection of flights into Columbus) and everything has gone smoothly. It is quite possible they have gotten it together.
