There are one and a half good ideas in jj's article. The first
is  "(Perhaps we could require TV to show realistic injuries
when guns are used? ...)"  This I think is an excellent idea.  I
concur.  I mean you ever seen the A TEAM.  Even the bad guys who
have been shot at, bombed and had their car flip over are always
rounded up with out a scratch on them to be handed over to the
police.  Not even Roy Rogers was that good.  Yes the reality of
injury due to weapons must be shown.  Ofcourse I doubt if the
handgun laws would survive one televeision season if reality of
injuries were enforced.

The half of an idea that jj had was as follows

	Whenever anyone is injured during an event in which
	they would not have been injured if they were armed,
	(given that they are not the assailant(s)) a random
	person in the gun-control lobby should be arrested on
	criminal charges of criminal neglegence, for forcing
	the injured party to be defenceless. That way, the
	anti-gun forces will feel the pain when their ideals
	fail. Currently, an anti-gun person is only hurt if he
	or she is directly injured, and not if he/she causes
	injury to another individual.

I say its half an idea cause, I would like to extend it as
follows. Whenever anyone who is not actively engaged in an
illegal activity is injured by a "legal" handgun then the legal
gun owner, the person who shot the gun, and a supporter of the
gun lobby should be arrested and tried for attempted murder or
if the person injured dies, first degree murder. A minimum of
two people and up to three people could be tried.  Afterall a
defenceless person has just been shot.
