Some people were delighted to be in a more urban setting, and other offered the opinions of recent Rochester articles. All in all it reminded me of the theme song from Green Acres. Rochester (to the tune of "Green Acres") ROCHESTERITE: Rochester is the place to be. Farm living is the life for me. Skiing's fun in a snowfall that's firm. Keep your culture just give me that "can of worms." RESTONITE: D.C. is where I'd rather be. I get so bored in the country. Arena Stage and Folger are just grand /* two good DC the-*/ While Rochester, at best, is really quite bland. /*aters*/ (Da-da-da-da-dut) ROCHESTERITE: The snow! (Da-da-da-da-dut) RESTONITE: Metro! /* the great mass transit system here */ (Da-da-da-da-dut) ROCHESTERITE: Running! (Da-da-da-da-dut) RESTONITE: Sunning. /* we have VERY mild winters */ ROCHESTERITE: I just won't go. RESTONITE: Good-bye then, you shmo. ROCHESTERITE: Rochester, we are here. (dut-dut) I understand the points made by the people who posted their articles in support of Rochester, and for them it is a great town. For MY life style, I would rather sacrifice the right to own a house to be able to attend one of over 4 professional theaters, one of over 7 museums, be able to ride to the airport, or 90% of my customer sites on a safe, efficient mass transit rail system, and in general enjoy a more urban setting. To each, THEIR OWN. OZ seismo!rlgvax!oz
