	One of the reasons I am for strick handgun laws is the ability
to arrest someone who may use the handgun.   Put a 20 year sentence on
the ownership of handguns and see how many people hold up liquor stores
with handguns a second time.

One of the reasons I am for strict alcohol laws is the ability to arrest
people who may drink and drive.  Put a 20 year sentence on the possession of
alcohol and see how many people get into wrecks while drunk a second time.

Seriously, there are rational things that could be done about what *is* a 
problem with handguns.  Ridiculous suggestions are actually harmful to the
search for solutions.
