WRT Switzerland, someone said in a previous segment of this discussion
that the Swiss face severe penalties for use of their civil defence
weapons for non-official purposes.

This is undoubtedly true; still, I wonder just what "non-official purposes"
means.  Has anybody in Switzerland ever used his army rifle for self-defence?
If so, what happened to him?  

This also has no bearing on handgun control.  I'm still curious as to what
handgun control laws Switzerland has and how they are enforced.  Does anybody
know?
