sexism creeps in!! In fact, most hard-selling telephone salespeople
are instructed to hang up if a woman answers!! (A fact reported by an
ex-salesman who had participated in several investment scams in Florida;
read in a recent Money magazine.) The reason the spouse has to attend is
so BOTH can be convinced to BUY!! Can you imagine a husband coming home
and telling his wife that he just bought two-weeks a year for twenty years
in some nowhere resort? That contract would get cancelled fast!! But, if
the salesperson can attack both, a sale can be made.
