We finally did something right and some people are still whining. What do you think all those mountains of rifles were for?? There was enough for two weapons per Grenadan resident. I've heard of two cars in every garage, but two AK-47's?? And 22 hour curfews (sp?) don't sound too logical to me. And notice who the Marines are fighting? Cubans! I'd be one of the first to admit that some of the stuff we're doing around the world is questionable at best (Lebanon, El Salvador (remember that little place?)), but let's face facts. If a terrorist base was formed on Grenada with that HUGE stash of arms, we'd have embassies blowing up, planes hi-jacked and all that happy crap in quantities never thought possible. Besides, if we REALLY wanted to show our might, would we have attacked Grenada? No, we'd have zapped Iran, or Libya, or any one of a number of nations giving us trouble. There is just nothing material to gain in Grenada. As far as all this moaning about turning the island into a bloodbath, first look at the films coming back - the country side don't look too ravaged to me! There have been no reports of civilian casualties. Soldiers died though - what a surprise, huh? Let's get serious America. MSMiller, GenRad, Concord, MA
