You ask why anyone would want to read a socialist newspaper. Well, If you had been reading the Militant, you would not just have learned how to spell Grenada. The Militant has been closely following events in Grenada ever since the 1979 revolution. You would have learned about the centuries of British and American imperial domination of the island, and the legacy of poverty, disease, illiteracy, and unemployment which it left. You would also have read about the enormous advances in education, health care, and the economy which had been made since the revolution. And you would have heard about the U.S. military threats and provocations which led up to the invasion. Before you post slanderous, red-baiting smears about a newspaper ("socialist" == "financed by the USSR" ??? Honestly! Senator McCarthy would be proud of you!! ), maybe you should check it out.
