The May 83 issue of **Word Ways** has an article on high scores in a single
turn of Scrabble(R) Crossword Game ["N-Tile Scrabble Records"].  The scores
achieved by the author are: 

	#Tiles   1    2    3    4    5    6    7
	Points  231  498  978 1247 1497 1729 1794

The positions were all legal and could be achieved in a legal game, albeit
unlikely.  What are the highest single turn scores you've ever seen in a
*REAL* game?
