The characters on my world have been running for 3 years now (that's real 
time; in game time, about 2 years) and have reached 5th and 6th level.  
One fighter has a +1 sword with a few powers, and they've found a couple
of potions and one scroll.

I'd call this a "magic-poor" world.  (I'd also say it was fairly slow
in terms of promotion; in how many worlds does it take 2 years of game time
to reach 5th level?)  But we all like it that way.
