Fast growing trees were desired. I recommend that you talk to your local cooperative extension agent, or soil conservation agent about what trees will best suit your needs. They will know what does well in your area, can analyze the soil to see what help it needs and what types of trees it would support, and theses agencies also have cheap trees available in bulk (and not so bulk) quantities as part of special programs in the spring.
