          FACULTY POSITIONS AT UNIV. OF ALASKA

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of
Alaska at Fairbanks has a visiting position for the spring
semester 1984 and a tenure-track regular position beginning in
the fall semester of 1984.  The Department seeks specialists
in operating systems, architecture, networks, and telecommuncations,
but applicants with other specialities will be considered.
The salary and benefits are very attractive, and the University
is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer.

The Department has 25 faculty, five of whom specialize in
computer science.  The Department facilities include a VAX 11/750
and PDP 11/23, and the University computing facilities include
a large Honeywell system and several VAX's.  Please address
