By way of history I should say it was a product of the late 60's and early 70's. The way to create and begin editing a file in TECO is: make filename ; to which it replys * make love ; however is flagged to give not war? * The last time that I saw this work was in 1973. Upon a recent visit to WECo ERC in princeton, nj I saw that the friend I was visiting was using teco on his fortran prog, and I asked him to try it again ... sure enough it is still in the present day codes!
