It turned up in the "empty array joke column" of the December 1982 issue of APL QUOTE QUAD (the SIGAPL newsletter). It was submitted by George V. E. Otto, now at Bell Labs Indian Hill and formerly at U. of Pa. while I was there: Q: How many Marxists does it take to screw in a proletarian light bulb?
