Well, you see, this couple had a baby.  Afterwards, their relatives
starting arriving.  The relatives would go see the baby, and then
visit the parents who were still in her room.   The parents had not
yet seen the baby.

Well, as the relatives filed through the room, the parents noticed that
something was wrong.  Some were crying, some looked sad, etc.  So finally
the parents went to the room where all of the babies were kept and saw
their baby.  They looked in the room, and in the spot where their baby
was supposed to be was this giant eye.  Well, they started crying.  And
they cried, and cried. (etc, etc)  Finally the doctor showed up and said,
"I haven't told you the worst news yet."
