We recently had a representative from a Center for Creationist [Pseudo] Science
who claimed that the speed of light was decreasing at a tremendous rate.
Luckily for all of us, it stopped changing speeds around 1960, so that
we don't have to bother measuring it again to verify that.  Otherwise,
those efforts to create faster computers might be doomed.

(Anyone caring to defend this may follow up to net.religion where
I am happily unsubscribed.)
