Humor, subtle or otherwise, is in the eye of the beholder.

I don't recall having spit in yours. <-- that's the joke that keeps this in
					 net.jokes and not net.jokes.d

I regard strange error messages and the like as being a special kind of humor,
subtle, but special. I like them quite a bit more than puns. And, in answer to
your question, when did I last see something funny in net.jokes? I believe it
was the article just prior to yours.
