This was originally (or maybe not originally, at least it was) a contest
in  I believe the NY times.  I have a book of such contests, with a number
of responses to this in particular.  If anyone's interested and I can find
the book amidst my rubble I can post the best entries.  The submission in
the style of Hunter S. Thompson is especially appealing!

I realize this hasn't been funny so far, so I'd like to close with a "joke."
