You obviously missed the big discussion about a month ago on this
whole subject.  Everyone under the sun submitted their favorite faces.
The concensus seems to have been that the  :-)  was a face turned
sideways, with the : being the eyes, the - being the nose and the )
the mouth.  There were thousands of variations submitted.  You should
have been here.
