 There were these two polacks(pollock is the fish !!!!) walking down the road..

this is the common form of "dim witted person" joke here in the states but fails
to have much impact told to a foreigner(talk my for for it I KNOW)
This type of joke to be effective is modified in each and every country its told
in I.E.

         In England its the Irish that are the butt of these jokes
            Holland its the Indonesians/Frieslanders
         In Germany its the Dutch
         In Iran it was the Turks (who it is now I dont know.That is if they
                                   still tell jokes over there)



        Sooooo......if you're Polish(Irish,Indonesian or whatever) you're
        not alone and probably somewhere someome is transposing the nationality
        into Mid-Westerner,English,New Yorker etc so live and let live

       P.S. I agree with Bill Adams that in humor there is almost always a
            need for tragedy to be there to make it work.However I would like
            to see some jokes submitted where there is no victim involved...
            especially from those people most vehemently opposed to offensive
            jokes
