The `G' refers the UCB Computer Facilities & Operations Unix System G,
which is a Vax-11/780, and the primary mail link to UCBVMA (The IBM 4341
on the BITNET).

I would be interested to know if the UCB sendmail will accept BITNET as a
real domain from the ARPANET side (e.g. PERSON@PLACE.BITNET.BERKELEY.ARPA),
since I know it will accept PERSON@PLACE.BITNET in locally generated mail...
