Here is another problem of the type that a high school student should
be able to solve in 5 - 10 minutes.
Find the sum of the 17th powers of the roots of the following equation:

x^17 + 3x^2 + 2x -1 = 0.

If nobody has a solution within a couple of days I will post one to the
net.
