Systems, Westborough, MA Lines: 20 It was suggested in this notefile that a good time to shop for a doctor is when you are new to an area. I shamefully admit that after being in the Boston area over three years, I still have not taken the time to find a good dentist, general MD, etc. The few times I have needed immediate attention, I have simply gone to out-patient at Newton-Wellesley. I have managed to find doctors in the past thru recommendations - but Boston being the large area it is, there are so many, and so widely scattered. Can anyone suggest ways to shop for a doctor, check reputation, etc, so as to avoid medical and financial problems? The thing I value in a doctor is, besides (obviously) general competency, the willingness to discuss, explain, and advise; in the past I often have had problems with the doctor always trying to run out of the room after answering one question - when I have a list of three or more. (As a side, I would not mind getting recommendations for a dentist and a GP near Pike/128 area... by mail only, please). Mark Colan {decvax!ittvax or allegra} ! datagen!mtc
