The problem of short lived floppies is very real when the floppies
cost $6.50 each, and are only available from DEC.  If the disks only
cost $2, and lasted a semester, it would be acceptable to just assure
that enough copies were made for the next semester.  But the high
cost of the floppies for the DEC personal computers make this expensive.
