The I/O board in question is an Interfacer. Note the lack of "II". Note my red face...The board predates the Compupro line. It has two serial ports using nonprogrammable UARTS (hence my use of the "II"). Had I actually been using an Interfacer II the reply from would have been partially correct, the initialization sequence I gave in condensed form would have had to have been different.
