Check out an article on net.micro.68k about lower-cost 68000
systems (ie, only $5000 -- makes a Coconut shudder).
The writer says that Microware, the originators of OS-9,
are about to release it for the 68K as well!
Apparently the motivation is that UN*X requires a hard (Winnie) disk
to work at all effieciently, whereas OS9's disk handling is optimized
to be tolerable on floppies.  Even Radio Shack floppies?
