Message-ID: <652@garfield.UUCP> Date: Mon, 24-Oct-83 11:41:43 EDT Article-I.D.: garfield.652 Posted: Mon Oct 24 11:41:43 1983 Date-Received: Mon, 24-Oct-83 13:17:38 EDT Organization: Memorial Univ. of Nfld., St. John's, Canada Lines: 12 In the latest issue of Hot COCO, there is a game called Smashout which is a version of Breakout. I've got the program typed in properly but it still doesn't work. The problem is the sound routine, which contains a JMP $A951 instuction. Apparently, the program jumps, but never returns, and just produces one long tone. Replacing the JMP with JSR doesn't work. I have two questions: 1) is this a bug in the program or is it because I have the 1.0 rom? 2) in either case, does anyone have a fix? Also, how can I access the timer from machine language?
