 I have a problem with slowly drifting bars of distortion floating across the
screen of my Atari 800.
The bars are horizontal, about 1/10th of the screen wide and take several
seconds to drift upwards.  The text or game is visible behind this fuzzy
patch, but resolution is lost, and it's very distracting.  The problem can
usually be corrected by turning the machine on and off multiple times or 
opening and shutting the lid several times.  The appearance rate of the bars
and the drift speed are very constant.
Any ideas on the cause or cure?
