Lines: 18 My undergrad college considered computer time a resource just like the library or the gym. Thus the computer center got its funds from everyones tuition and *no-one* got charged for computer time or storage. Additionally anyone who asked got a free floppy for use with the micros. The net result is that I succeeded in getting quite a good computer education without ever having to take a computer course (which weren't available at the time anyway). Personally I think thats the way that a computer system should be run in a learning environment. Before anyone flames about overusage, etc.. There were strict rules laid down as to usage priority. Namely: homework, hacking, games. Any one of those good boot anyone doing something with a lower priority. There were also storage limits, but you could get around those if you showed reason, or you could always ask for the use of a tape. Quite simple, and it worked. -kee
