     Sorry for any confusions over my earlier message about
Tim (unc!tim) Maroney's birthday.  That article - unlike this
one - was submitted by 'i-node' because of the way it was
being blacked out at unc.  The article was meant to have my
signature at the end, but it was removed by a (well-
intentioned) mistake.
     I assure any of tim's fans and friends who might have
been upset by the anonymous message that this is meant to be
a pleasant surprise for tim.  If you're still worried,
please send me mail with your questions. (Responding to
unc!i-node might not get to me, however.)
     For anyone who missed the original, Oct. 28 is tim's
birthday.  I just thought it would be nice for his faithful
readers out there in net-land to surprise him with birthday
messages-- electronic or hard-copy.  Appropriate addresses
are in the earlier message.
