There is very little in net.games.frp concerning systems other than (A)D&D;
in particular, there is very little about GDW's Traveler system which to
judge from its rapidly increasing availability in ordinary hobby, toy, book,
etc. stores, is some sort of runner-up in popularity to (A)D&D.  I am here
distinguishing "ordinary" stores from speciality strategy and fantasy game
stores.

What is the reason for the net's silence on this topic?  Does it reflect a
real lack of interest in Traveler by net users?  Is it just too much trouble
to filter material on other systems out of the (A)D&D deluge?  Does the pump
just need priming on this subject?  To find out I will post this note and
a couple of more specific Traveler comments (the latter to net.games.frp
only).  Let me hear from you on the net or by mail if the same questions
have bothered you or if you have answers.
