AT&T PLANS TO REVIVE PICTUREPHONE SERVICE BY
SHIFTING SUPPLIERS, Wall Street Journal, l0/l9,
p.26. In an attempt to revive Picturephone, AT&T
is getting a new video equipment supplier, Com-
pression Labs. The new equipment is expected to
be more efficient than the NEC America equipment
currently used. This should reduce transmission
costs for users by 40%.
