Our GM allows us (a crew of 5 on a merchant ship) to attempt cross-training while in jump space; that is, the captain will teach the first officer tactics while the first officer teaches the captain electronics. I'm not sure this is a good idea - eventually all of the five characters will have all the same skills. Does anyone out there do something different?
