I for one don't consider "The Lady in the Lake" and its subjective
camera to be tedious.  I've always found it to be an enjoyable
film.  Of course, if EVERY film were made that way, we'd be in trouble!
But, as a one of a kind feature, it's a winner.

P.S.  A particularly amusing scene is where "we" get punched in the head
and the camera falls to the floor and goes black...
