...was the guitarist for the Dregs (formerly the Dixie Dregs). He's
gone solo, and his appearance with de Lucia, McLaughlin and DiMeola
was not a last minute thing -- he's touring with them.
For phenomenally precise ensemble playing (even if you don't really
like the music), I'd suggest checking out the Dixie Dregs' first
album "What If", appearing in fine delete bins everywhere.
