Although I wonder whether to submit this or not, as it will undoubtedly
cause megaflames, here goes:
Since the majority of the net is not in beautiful NJ or NYC, I can't
help but feel that the discussions of NYC/NJ radio (which has been
becoming more and more prevalent) can't be anything but incredibly boring and
wasteful to someone from California, even though I am personally very
interested.
Might I suggest that net.music is indeed a very good place to discuss modern
radio that is musically oriented, but perhaps local newsgroups like
nj.whatever would be a better place for "well, try WXYZ in Lower Nowhere,
because it's great"... (I would be very interested in seeing these
discussions continue in a more limited newsgroup! Lets work it out!)
Let's keep net.music generic, with specific examples thrown in to prove
a point...
