If we do not pressure Marcos, and non-judgementally give him the $900 million "rent", it seems, by default, that our brilliant strategy must be first, to allow the New Peoples Army (i.e. leftist rebels) to take over, and second, to intervene militarily to "restore democracy" to the Phillipines. Has there been any evidence of US pressure besides Reagan's cancellation? Do Netland people care more about the Phillipines than they do about Grenada? Any Filipinos out there? >From the dominopining keyboard of Jordan Pollack ...pur-ee!uiucdcs!uicsl!pollack "domino" - small unstable nations "opining" - having opinions on ___ or "domino" - most recently, Grenada "pining" - losing my health because of distress over ___
