I must point out one fact that has been consistently ignored by those
who believe that Grenada's airport was going to be part of a Soviet
military installation.  The airport was being built by a BRITISH
construction company (Plessey Airports), whose $9.9 million contract
was underwritten by the British government.

It would be a strange development indeed if the British government had
gone into the business of building Soviet military airports!
