            I agree with John Cocker; maybe when people put their
   boats to bed for the winter they become preoccuppied by other
   things. I am very new to sailing and so could contribute little
   of value, but would be VERY interested in listening in to more
   knowledgeable boaters discussing boating-related topics.
           I was happy to receive responses to my items on boat-
  buying, crew spots, and piracy and want to thank those people
  again.
           Incidentally, has anyone out there had any experience
  with metal hulled sailboats?
