The hot rods still park on 6th avenue. The problem is that the Asbury Park "SCENE" is just not the same. There are too many people who think that all Asbury is now is the glitter club called Club Xanadu and the place is over run by the slick-dressed (pseudo-new wavish) young singles. Even the Stone Pony is basically a cover band club now. ARRRGH! I think the music scene of Asbury officially died when the Fastlane closed....
