Startide Rising is an execelent book.  A lot of action, some
good space battles and some good species-interaction psychology.

My first impulse when reading it was to running out and buy
Sundiver...  an impulse that I am still trying to follow, since
I can't find anyone in the Boston area who has it.  Apparently
I wasn't the only one with that impulse!
