There are problems, however, which will come basically because of the color differences. YOu can say that the girl is an american with a perspective and appreciation (perhaps) of the indian culture. This is further reflected in the fact that you have been going out with her for some time . I beleive that two people cannot communicate if there are strong cultural differences, leave aside dating. This means that there is enough cultural compatibility between you two. Regarding the problems, there will always be some, with the group of people who do not know better. But, otherwise this country generally accepts people who mix with the society. So, the chldren will most probably be considered american by all. Regarding the problems of an ethenic group. It is true that the problems grow as the group becomes larger. But, you two will not be a part of that group. So, I think, the bottom line is. If you two feel comfortable, go ahead. I beleive much of the problem might be in your own mind. If you act normal, people around should not notice the mixed couple.
