Lines: 22 I don't believe that this is a meaningless topic for discussion. Now, I'm not saying that picking or eliminating someone as a potential meaningful other (hows that for a term, and I don't even live in California) solely on the basis of race or color is rational, but it does happen. I've never dated a black women, but then again I've never been in a situation where I felt enough attracted to one that I wanted to date her. I don't feel that its bad or that one should avoid interracial dating, but I know that if I ever were in a situation where such a relationship might happen, it would take a little bit extra for me to move. I don't know why that is, except that I do have this emotional reaction to it. I don't think that whatever belief it is manifests itself in any other ways, but then again it's the sort of thing that I don't like, and won't let affect my actions. I don't know; anyone else out there have any opinions on it? -- ~~~ Bruce ~~~ Computer Science Dept., University of Maryland {rlgvax,seismo}!umcp-cs!israel (Usenet) israel.umcp-cs@Udel-Relay (Arpanet)
