Well, I could make excuses (like Boddicker's only run was unearned) but I won't. I blew it, but, I don't care. You see, I am a diehard Baltimore Orioles fan and I just wanted them to win. Murray may not have shined and the O's may have beaten Carlton, but I still went to bed with a smile on my face last night. How good will Baltimore be next year? With young pitching and potential switches (e.g. Roenicke at 3b with Lowenstein full time in left field), I think the O's have a good shot at the division title in 1984. So, not learning from my mistakes, I offer the following prediction: The 1984 Baltimore Orioles will not finish in last place. -- Ken
