The only way to summarize is to say that they range from fair (the one you've read is, I think, one of the best) to terrible. Among the better recent ones, in my opinion: Correy, Lee The Abode of Life Gerrold, David The Galactic Whirlpool Weinstein, Howard The Covenent of the Crown Among the poorest (again, of course, my personal opinion) are the ones written by Marshak & Culbreath, although I very much enjoyed The New Yoyages 1 & 2, which they edited; some of those short stories are pretty good. And, of course, I don't expect everyone to agree with me.
