Can someone post some quotes from these laws? I would like to know what legal authority the cable companies have. I was always under the impression that if they didn't like what I did with their cable the most they could do was deny service. If there are any specific laws, are they state or federal? (do they vary from state to state) Since they are providing a wire to my house, are they governed by the same laws as telephone companies? When I subscribed there was no paperwork stating "Thou shall not tinker". The only thing I signed was my check for $6 per month. I don't want to have to call them just to have the TV moved.
