One facet of the relocation plan is home disposal for which I have been assigned to Equitable Relocation Management. Equitable has sent me a list of five appraisers from which I must select two. The company offer on my home will be the average of the two figures generated by these appraisers. Naturally, I want my appraisal to be a high as possible. I am soliciting advice on criteria to use in selecting appraisers to maximize the company offer. I should add that I have not decided a priori to accept the company offer, I just want to make it as much as possible should I elect to select this option. One final note, I am also interested in hearing about first hand experiences with home disposal companies -- particularly Equitable. As always, please reply by mail and thanks in advance.
