Lines: 9 From what I saw when they were in Boston he generally picks a random number from the audience (who leave them in a box) and then reads some more off of a sheet (evidently copies of those mailed in). The number he reads is dependent on how the timing of the show is going. The letters provide the filler so that everything works out exactly right. -kee
