My daughter has a '77 Dodge Colt (Mitsubishi) with the 1600cc
engine.  At 55,000 miles, the oil pressure is starting to fade
badly.  The pressure warning light is on, brightly, whenever
the car is not up to highway speed.   I have heard rumblings
that the Mitsubishi engines are prone to this problem at
relatively low mileages.  Can anybody tell me where the weak
spot is in these engines: main bearings, oil pump, oil seals,
wherever, so that I can advise her what to do with the car.
The engine still sounds all right, with no obvious knocks.
